Help For Depressed Older People

By Michael Russell Older people experience a lot of changes in their lives that cause depression. Depression is one of the most common health problems among the elderly. Changes in older people’s physical, personal and financial capacities may contribute to their anxieties and in return, they may end up feeling sad, alone, empty and rejected. Depression in older individuals is caused by many factors including accumulated lifetime losses and medication. Lifetime losses usually include changes in the standard of living, housing and reduced income. These also include changes in relationships, the loss of a loved one or close family members and in instances where friends and family move away. Even the loss of a pet or important possession contributes to depression. Medication on the other hand is also a common cause of depression among older individuals. Older people oftentimes take a lot of medications such as sedatives, tranquilizers, high blood pressure medicines and anti-inflammatories, all of which can cause depression. Drug interactions can sometimes be dangerous and can produce depression, mental confusion and many other physical problems. If your older loved ones are showing signs of depression, you can help them by trying these strategies: A loving touch can perform miracles and for depressed individuals it can give them the assurance that they are cared for and loved. Show your affection, hug or offer back rubs. These maybe the simplest forms of showing how much you care but these will mean so much for depressed people. Communicate with your loved ones in a manner that shows respect and honors their dignity. The manner in which you express yourself and talk to older people can create a huge difference in how they will feel about themselves. Be considerate to the older person’s needs especially if there is physical barrier to communication. Face the person when talking to him or her and use short sentences as much as possible, especially if the person has hearing difficulty. Respect their preferences and routines. They may be old and dependent upon your help but they too have lifelong routines and patterns that they need to follow for a sense of continuity and that needs to be respected. The worst thing we do for our elderly loved ones is strip them of their dignity and control. In our desire to help them and make life easier for them, we tend to take over their lives and be in full control. Always bear in mind that overprotecting your older loved ones will only drive them to depression. No one likes to have his or her control and dignity taken away. Encourage them therefore to decide for themselves and always respect their privacy. Finally, let them continue to be involved with life’s activities. Being old doesn’t mean staying inactive and glued to their beds. Help them become involved in meaningful activities that will spark their interest and enthusiasm. Involve them in volunteer activities or get them into crafts or hobbies that will make them look forward to another day. It is by being involved with life’s activities that older people will find worth in themselves. Romantic Moments: How to Add a Little Spice in your Life

By Michael Douglas Chilli: Hot and spicy tangs can be given to your present boring life by planning out a complete seduction of your spouse or partner. Forget candlelight dinners and moonlight nights – they are so boring. Instead, try something different. Fill up the bathtub with rose petals. Invite the lady into your parlour. Get a bunch of rose petals and spread them along the floor leading to the bathroom. Have the lights off in the whole house and use candles along the way to the bathroom. Prepare a bubble bath for her, and have a silky new night gown, placed on the rail next to some perfume that you like and lipstick that she uses. While she is in the bathroom, clean up the petals that lead from the door to the bathroom, and use them to lead from the bathroom to the bedroom. In the bedroom have a dinner of what she likes to eat. Have rose petals all over the floor and the bed. You could use silk sheets on the bed. And let things happen from there. Give your partner the luxury of some private time, knowing that when you reunite it will be all the sweeter. Undress each other with your eyes closed. Take turns reading romantic poetry or an erotic novel to each other. Act out the scenes, described in the book, and laugh a lot. It is funny! Kiss your partner awake in the morning. Pepper: Put some pepper in your life by opening up the boxes and crates which you have kept away for so many years. Pick out all the letters, cards, notes and other gewgaws which you have accumulated through the years. Have a pen with you. Write down the date and notes of all the present activities of life, as it is in reality, against the paragraphs of your dreams! Then, after you have sniffed over them nostalgically, put them away so that future generations are going to pepper up their life reading them and wondering how great a swinger their grandma was in her time! Make a time capsule. Write down your private thoughts and dreams in letters to each other. Then put them in a box along with a special bottle of wine, or funny souvenirs, and seal it with sealing wax. Don’t open it until your 50th anniversary. Salt: Salt is normally used to add flavour to your food and help you swallow it. Right? So, to add salt in your life, begin to swallow the trials and tribulations you have undergone these years of living and pick your revenge your own way. Contact the person who has been the source of plenty of pain and chagrin to you all these years. Act very cheerful, say that you have forgiven and forgotten your differences, and now you are beginning to wonder how things blew up out of all proportion – laughing all the while – and spend half an hour talking about trivialities in a really light-hearted way. Do not bring back old grievances. Do not complain. At the end of the call, just remember to tell him or her about your new car, new life, new job, new house, and what a success you are making with all of them – and end it by saying that you have achieved something he has been dreaming of. Not only have you taken the best revenge, but he is going to spend the rest of the month, wondering why you called up! After that, please make sure that when he or she tried to contact you, you are out of reach – possibly somewhere in Timbuktu or Paraburdoo or Meghahatuburu. This is called putting the salt on the bird’s “tale”! Ginger: If there’s a great slow dance song playing on the radio, ask your partner to dance, even if you happen to be cooking supper! Spontaneously whisper to your lover where, when, and how you’d like to make love to him or her. Time your declaration for an unexpected moment that’s sure to make your partner blush – one the way to work, at a party, or while shopping! Surprise your love by lip-synching a love song. In your own voice, record a love song or poetry on tape for your partner to listen to on the way to work or when out of town. Mustard: Tell your wife that you have a friend that really really is dying to meet you and her and they are waiting in the car. That person really admires her. But before you do this… get a teddy bear and try to make it look cute by putting sunglasses on it dressing it. Sit the bear on the front seat of the car and put the seatbelt on him. A female teddy bear can be wearing new jewellery. Lead your better half out to the car to meet this “person who wants to meet her” so eagerly. Collect and make a book of poems for him or her. Or you can serenade your lady, stand outside her window and sing her a love song. It really doesn’t matter how bad your voice is or if the neighbours think that you are crazy! All spice: Sing him to sleep. Play in the park like when you were kids. Throw snowballs or jump in leaf piles. Splash in puddles. Replace his bookmark with a love note. Compliment your partner every day more than once. Make it genuine! Brush her hair or wash her hair for her. She’ll love it. One of the most beautiful things I ever saw was done by one of my uncles for his 25th wedding anniversary. He draped the trees and fences with fairy lights. And then in the middle of the party, he switched on the fairy lights and switched off all the other lights, turned on slow music and brought my aunt out to dance under the moon, holding each other close! Now, that is true love! Have a personal code between the two of you. I never knew why my aunt suddenly used to blush or frown in the middle of a family gathering. What I did not know was that uncle was telegraphing,” Hi, sexy!” Or “waiting for tonight!” Showing your feelings and emotions is nothing to be ashamed of. So, guys, learn to live a little and don’t be shy of broadcasting your love to the world! Everyone, male or female, wants the spouse to be a bit imaginative in adding some spice to an ordinary life – so go to it and get a reputation of loving and caring and sharing and cherishing and tender, which is not the prerogative of a female. Wedding Party Supplies: Plan Ahead

By Gail Leino Most people choose to rent the big wedding party supplies. For example, if you plan to have an outdoor wedding, you will need to find a place that rents tents, tables, chairs, platforms, microphones, dance floors, and so on. Even most reception halls dont come with things like archways, candelabras, and prayer benches, so renting the various supplies you need is an excellent option. Most wedding planners discuss what type wedding party supplies you want, and make arrangements for them, so that you dont have to. If you have a wedding planner, you wont have to worry about finding a place to rent these items and coordinating the delivery, set up, and pick up of these items, but if you are planning your own wedding, you will need to consider these options yourself. One of the most popular Wedding Party Supplies to be rented is a tent. Tents range from small canopies to massive structures strong enough to withstand any thunderstorm. Often, when renting a tent, a representative will come to the wedding site to help you determine what you need based on the date, type of wedding, and number of expected guests. Typically, the tent, and any other rented equipment, will be set up the day before the wedding. One of the most popular choices is a tent that has removable sides, so the guests can move about freely and have more room, but the sides can quickly be put back up, in the event of inclement weather. They are made from special fabric and can be set up to accommodate a room for dining, dance floor, and stage, and they can even be heated or air-conditioned. Other popular Wedding Party Supply items often rented, are the tables and chairs. Many times, the rental company can include all of the place settings such as silver flatware, china, crystal, centerpieces, linen napkins, and more. When it comes to wedding party supplies, you have many options to make your wedding day a fairytale. Beautiful Star of Bethlehem It Will Shine Again

By Michael Bresciani Stars come in various sizes, shapes, ages and brilliance. It is their brightness that is the most noted of all their attributes. Astronomers still engage a system for measuring the brightness of a star that was developed by one of their own named Hipparchus at about 120 BC. The scale he developed rates the brilliance of stars from 1 to 6. One is the brightest and six the faintest. The brightest stars are said to be of the first magnitude. The brightest star in the skies today is Sirius and it is rated a 1.42. Hipparchus method of rating the luminescence of the stars is used to this very day. The Star of Bethlehem falls outside of Hipparchus method. It was apparently a one time event. It was never seen before and there is little reason to believe it will ever happen again. The account of the Star of Bethlehem is found only in the second chapter of the Gospel of Matthew. Hundreds or perhaps thousands of people saw the brilliant star pulsating in the eastern skies. The stir it created was so great that it reached the ears of Herod, a man, who later was to become the King of Judea. The Romans did not allow anyone to be called a king throughout their empire except by special dispensation. Herod successfully wrangled the title from the Roman senate through great coercion, which bespeaks of his manic megalomania. Herod called upon his scribes and priests to verify for him where the Christ child was to be born. When the scribes reported that the star and the scriptures coincided for the little town of Bethlehem Herod was satisfied with the report and began scheming to kill the Christ child. Herod had no plan to give up any power to another king, Messiah or not. It is said that other than the cross upon which Christ was crucified, the Star of Bethlehem is the most widely known Christian symbol in the world. There is yet to come one new symbol or sign that will far exceed the attention given to the Star of Bethlehem. It may very well be the cross again used symbolically but it will have the distinction of being the most noticed epiphany or sign in history. Plainly said, no one in this world will miss it. What will this great sign be? The sign will be seen universally on both hemispheres. This raises the question of how a bright sign can be seen in broad daylight. God wants no one to miss this one so he makes sure there is no broad daylight when this sign appears. He also wont allow anyone to think it is a close encounter from other planets, the arrival of some other deity or so called avatar like Buddha or Mohammed. The sign belongs to only Jesus Christ and no one will miss this fact. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Matthew 24: 29-30 Stage one is the blocking of the daylight. Stage two is the sign perhaps the cross. Why the cross? Whether atheist, agnostic, Muslim, Buddhist, angel or devil no one in this world does not know that the cross represents Jesus Christ. Stage three is the actual appearance of Jesus himself. He will not be coming to suffer and die or to reason with nations or call people to believe, he is coming to remove all power from the hands of men (at last) and sit as ruler of the earth. More than a half dozen times the Bible says that the moon will be dark red like the color of blood and something will obscure the sun as the Lord returns to make things right on the earth. Only once does the Bible say that the sign that will appear will belong to only Jesus Christ. Whether that sign will be brighter than the Star of Bethlehem or not is a matter of conjecture but what follows it will be a blinding and brilliant light. In the center of that living light will be the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is appropriate that Christ is referred to as the bright and morning star Revelation 22:16. As I sat alone one day pondering the course of my life. I was searching for some real answers and one of them I considered was faith in God. After carefully examining this in my heart I spoke up and talked to God. I wont relate every detail here but as I spoke to God He appeared to me, by He, I do mean Jesus Christ. I was afraid to tell anyone of this experience for over a year or so. I didnt want to be labeled as a religious fanatic. Whats more is up to that time in my life I was convinced that no one saw visions anymore. I could not describe adequately how brilliant the vision was and up to now the best Ive been able to come up with is that Jesus face shined with a visible but brilliant uncreated light that leave mere words to weak to describe. It had no heat or harmful effects but it made the sun look dim. Only once have I ever seen anything to equal the brilliance of that vision. That was to come as a second vision a year or so later. As a new believer I was often disturbed by dreams, hundreds of them like so many Technicolor previews of coming events. Most of them were about daily events and had to do with me or people in my immediate surroundings. Some, however, were far more significant. A few of them are clearly about events in the near future but of those that had to do with something current, not one was ever wrong. Out of them all one stands out as the most significant. It was this single vision that propelled me into a lifelong study of biblical eschatology. (Second coming of Christ) When I finally stopped being afraid of the visions it was because I began to realize that they were given for the telling not the hiding. I have seen men and women scoff at my visions and Ive seen them give their lives to Christ on the spot after listening to me. Regardless of the outcome I have always taken strength from something my former pastor and friend Dr. Richard Land once told me. He said, A man with an experience is never at the mercy of a man with an argument. All of the details of my greatest vision are contained in an article I wrote entitled Do People See Visions Anymore. I havent enough space here to relate all the details of that particular vision but I must tell at least one part of it. We will ever grow the pictures of the Star of Bethlehem in our imaginations. Those who love God and await the return of Christ to the earth will also stretch their imaginations to their limits trying to envision what the arrival of The Great and Morning Star will actually look like. I may have been blessed with a preview of that great event and one aspect of it will be unforgettable to me until my last breath. As I watched events transpire on earth and in the heavens. The most awe inspiring sight of all was when a brilliant living light came swirling downward to the earth to finally land in the place where the oriental and occidental races of the earth meet, Jerusalem. The purity, brilliance and life contained in that light were beyond all the words I have in my vocabulary to this day. Perhaps that is why I will say no more at this juncture and leave the rest to your imagination and to a verse or two of the old and lovely gospel tune written by Alger M. Pace and R. Fisher Boyce called Beautiful Star of Bethlehem. Oh Beautiful Star of Bethlehem, Shining afar through shadows dim, Giving the light for those who long have gone, Guiding the wise men on their way, Unto the place where Jesus lay, Oh Beautiful Star of Bethlehem, shine on, Oh Beautiful Star the hope of rest, For the redeemed the good and blessed, Yonder in glory when the crown is won, Jesus is now the star divine, Brighter and brighter he will shine, Oh Beautiful Star of Bethlehem, shine on, Oh Beautiful Star, of Bethlehem, Shine upon us until the glory dawns, Give us the light to guide the way, Unto the land of perfect day, O Beautiful Star of Bethlehem, shine on, Rev Bresciani is the author of two Christian books one that is entirely on the second coming of Christ. He is a contributing columnist for several online news and commentary sites. His articles are read throughout the world. Essential Oil Can Be Used in Many Different Ways

By Chris Robertson Since before recorded history, botanicals – in the form of essential oil – have been used for medicinal healing and spiritual and religious ceremonies. Ancient civilizations used herbal fragrances in everything from embalming to architecture, as well as for baths and perfumes. Rene-Maurice Gattefosse, a French cosmetic chemist, coined the term “aromatherapy” in the early 1900s, when he discovered the healing properties of lavender. Today, essential oils from plants are used both in their pure forms and as ingredients in many cosmetic, body, and bath products. There are different theories about the psychological and physical benefits imparted by specific herbs and other botanicals, yet there’s no question that scents have an impact on our moods and sense of well being-one whiff of chocolate chip cookies baking can immediately transport us to the cozy comfort of our mom’s kitchen. So consider adding a little scent to your life, and relax and enjoy the benefits you receive. Essential oils can be used in many ways (but never take them internally!). Here are a few suggestions: Bath: In warm water, essential oils are absorbed through your skin, and the aromatherapeutic vapors are effortlessly inhaled. Massage: Essential oils penetrate into skin tissues and are circulated throughout the body. Skin Care: When diluted with other products, essential oils can rejuvenate and moisturize your skin. Hair Care: Essential oils can strengthen and stimulate your hair follicles, and can add shine to your hair. Inhalation: Whether a spritz on your pillow, a few drops on a tissue, or in a vaporizer, inhaling essential oils is the easiest method to enjoy their benefits. Diffusion: Essential oils can enhance your environment via sprays, air fresheners, and diffusers. The essential oil of each plant has a distinct property and use. Here are metaphysical and medicinal uses for some essential oils. Fennel – Metaphysical: Wards off negativity and evil. Medicinal: Improves digestion and lactation. Mint – Metaphysical: Stimulating and energizing; inspiring. Medicinal: Cleansing and strengthening of the body. Rosemary – Metaphysical: Energizing, stimulating, aids concentration. Medicinal: Stimulates circulation; respiratory problems; migraines. Cedarwood – Metaphysical: Balancing, grounding, inspiring faith and optimism. Medicinal: Stimulates hair growth; respiratory ailments Orange Peel – Metaphysical: Promotes mental clarity and emotional balance; stimulates creativity and confidence. Medicinal: Antidepressant, lymphatic drainage. Chamomile – Metaphysical: Attracts prosperity; relaxation. Medicinal: insomnia, menstrual cramps; boosts immune system. Juniper Berry – Metaphysical: Clears negative energy and promotes a sense of well-being. Medicinal: Urinary infections and water retention. Angelica Root – Metaphysical: Integrating the physical, emotional and spiritual. Medicinal: Digestive problems; aids detoxification of body Cinnamon – Metaphysical: Encouraging, uplifting. Medicinal: Cold remedies. Chris Robertson is an author of Majon International, one of the worlds MOST popular internet marketing companies on the web. San Diego DUI Lawyers Report Breathalyzers Don’t Measure Alcohol

By Lawrence Taylor Arrested for drunk driving? A San Diego firm of DUI defense attorneys reports that breathalyzers used by law enforcement do not actually measure alcohol — and thus may produce falsely high “blood alcohol” readings. According to the the Law Offices of Lawrence Taylor, Inc., in San Diego, California, most breathalyzers used in DUI cases by law enforcement today use “infrared spectroscopy”. This technology involves detection of the “methyl group” in the molecular structure of alcohol. The problem is that there are thousands of chemical compounds containing the methyl group — some of them found on the human breath. In one study involving 28 subjects, for example, researchers found that the “combined expired air comprises at least 102 various organic compounds of endogenous and exogenous origin” (“Characterization of Human Expired Air”, 15 Journal of Chromatographic Sciences 240). If a person has any of these other compounds on his breath, called “interferents” by the engineers, he will get a falsely high blood-alcohol test result. And if there are two or more such compounds on his breath, the machine will add them up and falsely report the total as the blood- alcohol level. So what compounds can be found on your breath? According to the San Diego DUI attorneys, diabetics with low blood sugar can have high levels of acetone — which is “seen” as alcohol by Breathalyzers. And scientific studies have found that people on diets can have reduced blood-sugar levels, causing acetone hundreds of times higher than found in normal individuals (Frank and Flores, “The Likelihood of Acetone Interference in Breath Alcohol Measurements”, 3 Alcohol, Drugs and Driving 1). And there are many other so-called “interferents” affecting breathalyzer results If you are a smoker, your breathalyzer result is likely to be higher than expected. The compound acetaldehyde — containing the methyl group and so reported by the Breathalyzer as “alcohol” — is produced in the human body as a by-product in metabolizing consumed alcohol, and eventually passes into the lungs and breath. Researchers have discovered that levels of acetaldehyde in the lungs can be 30 times higher in smokers than in non-smokers. Result: higher BAC readings on the machine. The San Diego DUI lawyers report that common household products, such as paint, glue, gasoline, and thinners also contain the methyl group. No, you dont have to drink the stuff: simply absorbing it through your skin or inhaling the fumes can result in significant levels of the chemical in your body for hours or even days, depending upon the “half- life” of the compound. So if youve painted a room or breathed in fumes at a gas station in the last day or two, don’t take a breathalyzer test. If you are stopped by the police and suspected of drunk driving, say the San Diego DUI lawyers, you might consider a blood test rather than submitting to a breathalyzer. Lawrence Taylor is the senior member of an AV-rated law firm of San Diego DUI attorneys practicing drunk driving defense exclusively. Top Ten Ways to Write a Sales Letter for Each Product or Service

By Judy Cullins Perhaps you have a book out, or a wonderful service that helps people make their lives better. Authors/publishers are great at getting their books written. Entrepreneurs know their products. But after the initial one-year honeymoon, sales slow down. To counter this make sure your ebook, product, or service you offer will keep on selling from the first day, the first year, even for life. Write a short sales letter for each product or ebook. Whether you have a Web site or not, you can write a first class, must-buy-now sales letter. Write one for each teleclass, eBook, product, or service. I even write one for my bookcoaching services. If you are like me and have a Web site, it is content driven. Why? Because that’s why people come to any site–to get free information. You must also give them a reason to buy. Most home pages say too much about the author or the book instead of intriguing their potential buyers with a benefit- driven headline, which in turns leads them to the benefits of their books–the sales letter. My first Web site had many fine books and kits in personal growth and book writing and marketing. Sales never went over $200 a month. To correct that, I created a new site and paid special attention to its sales language (without hype) for each teleclass, eBook, and book coaching opportunities to suit each income and need. Sales were $75 the first month, and in four months they reached $2265. One year later, and today, over $4000 a month. You can boost your sales too. What Every Sales Letter Needs to Pull Orders and Profits You can write each sales letter in less than four hours the first time. As you practice, you can write them in two hours. 1. Start the Letter with a Benefit-Driven Headline. Include these headlines throughout your sales letter. “Want a quick and easy way to quadruple your Online Income in Four Months? If you answered, “yes” to yourself, the headline succeeds, because you will keep reading. If you said “No, I don’t believe this, ” but I’m curious where this is going,” the headline still succeeds. You win when your headline seduces your potential customer to read on in your sales letter to discover your product’s benefits and features, some fine testimonials, and finally to click “buy now” which takes them to the order page. 2. List the Top Five Benefits of your Product or Service in bullet form. To define your top benefits start with a list of problems your client or customer wants solutions for. Each specific problem you answer can be labeled a benefit. If you are not rock sure of who your audience is, your sales copy dribbles away and doesn’t meet its target. Keep redefining your audience and know as much about them as you can. Remember that one benefit is the top undeniable benefitusually more money easier, more clients faster, more profits from Web sales, better relationships, and health. If you have more than five benefits collected in a list, sprinkle the rest throughout your copy. How will your book make someone’s life easier, richer in time or money, help their personal growth, provide additional income, entertain them? How will your product or service make them a better business person, more attractive, feel better, avoid catastrophe, sickness, or surgery? 3. Address your Potential Buyer’s Resistances. Remember to tell a background story of where they are NOW so they will emotionally connect with your solutions (the product or service). Let’s say they want to write an eBook or print book to make themselves the “expert,” make life-long passive income, or share their unique message. Many people don’t write a book because they doubt it will sell well enough for all the effort, it may not be significant enough, it will take too long, cost too much money, and they really aren’t writers. One, by one, your sales letter addresses their concerns and shows these potential buyers how they can become an excellent author and make their books more saleable, while building their profits. 4. Sprinkle Testimonials Throughout your Sales Letter. Potential buyers who visit your site or another one that sells your products are more pulled to buy when they think other people have already. If other people are happy with your product or service, they will be too. Include testimonials from experts in your field, celebrities, man/woman on the street, and other people who have profited from your advice. Learn how to approach influential contacts through email friendly notes and requests. Ask them to look at and give their opinion on your table of contents, one chapter, and your back cover or sales letter information Give as you receive. Give that person something of value. Study their Web site or read their ezine, and send them a short helpful tip or joke. 5. Offer your potential clients three or four chances to buy. They may have already decided to buy before coming to your sales letter, so offer a “Click Here,” “Buy Now” near the top of the letter. Offer more buying opportunities along the way after a list of benefits, what’s in this book (features),and testimonials. 6. End your Sales Letter with your 100% Money-Back Guarantee. When you offer an iron-clad guarantee, people see your book as so valuable that you put yourself on the line for it. They will be more likely to buy and be satisfied with their purchase. “This product comes with a 100% Money Back Guarantee. Read the book cover to cover, and if the strategies don’t work for you within 60 days, we’ll cheerfully refund your money, and you can keep the product too!” 7. Make your Sales Letter Credible. To boost sales, authors need to add free bonus reports related to their book. Make sure your free bonus reports do not cost more than the price of your product. Would you believe this offer “order this for $49 now and receive 4 special bonus reports worth $395?” 8. Share the downside of your book to create empathy. For example, “this ebook won’t write the book for you, or even get it published, but it will show you the steps and resources to write compelling copy, finish fully and sell well.” 9. Include your expert credentials “I spent 6 months researching this book and 3 months writing it. My background includes 23 years coaching, presenting 80 writing seminars a year, and 52 published clients since 1999.” Without a sales letter to guide your potential buyers on your Web site, you leave them bored, uninspired, without enough information to make that decision to buy. Your Web site and ezine must entertain, inform, and give enough benefits to convince your readers to order your book. For all email promotion campaigns, without a short or long sales letter for each product, your unique, useful and inspiring information will not get read, people won’t know you as the expert, and you won’t make the sales you want. Low Interest Rate Credit Cards – Understanding The APR

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Carrie_Reeder]Carrie Reeder When shopping for a credit card, it is important to understand the annual percentage rate (APR) to find the best deal for your situation. If you pay off your bill every month, a no fee and moderate APR plan may be best. However, if you take out cash advances, you will want a low APR on that feature. Various APRs Each credit card has several different APRs. At the minimum they will have a rate for purchases, cash advances, and transfers. Typically, cash advances will carry a higher rate than for purchases or transfers. Transfers usually carry low rates. Sometimes you can even find an APR of 0% for an introductory period. To entice you to open an account, credit card companies offer introductory and delayed APRs. An introductory rate lasts for a certain period, usually six months to a year. Delayed APRs charge no interest until a certain month. Some cards also offer tiered rates, which keeps rates low for those that carry a small balance. For example, a card might offer 15% on balances between $1 – $1000 and 18% on balances over $1000. Credit card companies also have penalty APRs. These apply when a payment is late, as outlined by the cards terms. Fixed Versus Variable APRs A fixed rate APR doesnt change. Usually these types of cards have an annual fee with them. But they usually offer lower rates with some security, making them attractive to those who carry large balances. It is important to remember that even fixed rates can change, but the credit card company has to give you notice. A variable rate APR flexes with the index they are tied to, typically the prime or T-bill rate. Variable rate APRs are not the same as an introductory or delayed APR. Picking The Right Card Research all the APRs when you are looking for a good credit card. Know your credit habits, and pick the card with the rates that will give you the best deal. You can even open multiple accounts, using them for different credit purposes. For example, you can use one card for cash advances but another for purchases. The Secrets Behind Successful Diet Tips Explained

By Simon Chobod Digestion is a chemical process. Our body combines different types of foods in our stomach using chemical reactions. The goal of proper digestion is to extract from the foods we eat only the nutrients that our body needs, and escort away all the rest. The problem starts with the balance, the types of foods that we put into our stomach at each meal. Remember those chemical laboratory lessons from your high school. When the ingredients were properly balanced, the reaction proceeded quickly with very little ingredients left. But if the ingredients were not matched, they did not react with each other and were just staying there in a heap. A similar process repeats itself in our stomach after every meal. If the foods we ate are suited to each other, they react quickly and produce the necessary nutrients for our body. We might even feel a slight hunger soon after such a meal. If the foods were not suited however, they are just laying in our stomach feeling like a ton of bricks. What happens in such cases? You would expect that your body will attempt to get rid of unwanted burden. Wrong guess. During long years of evolution, our bodies learned never to throw away food. Who knows, when the next feeding might be coming? So your body starts the long and tedious process of converting your unwanted food intake to body fat. The solution for the problem of unwanted fat? Eat only what your body can use at this very moment. For example: The Atkins diet or the South Beach Diet work by trying to find a perfectly matched combination of food intake at every meal. If all ingredients work with each other, nothing is left to be converted into fat. Why do we need different diets now? In the not so distant past our nutritional needs were totally different. People, who performed heavy physical work either in factories or fields, needed a lot of fat stored in their bodies. Such fat was the only reliable source of body energy for physical activities. One or two meals a day was all the workers could have. So they learned to eat heavy fat-producing diets of ham and bacon with potatoes. An office worker uses comparatively little calories. On the other hand, his food temptations are frequent and easy to satisfy. If such a worker continues to consume diets containing high calories, which he no longer needs, obesity sets in. Our life is different from only a generation or two ago. It is so much easier. Most of our physical effort had been taken by various kinds of machinery. We cant continue to eat the way our parents and grandparents used to. Not without paying the price in unwanted pounds of body fat. We need to change the way we eat in the same way as we changed the way we work. If we spend less calories, we should eliminate them from our diet.
